Today We Learned (TWL) that you can laugh and joke loudly over traditional Romanian food with friends from five different countries that you only met an hour before.
TWL that it is important to know and hear the ‘locals’ perspective. Admiring the beautiful large fountains in the city centre and commenting on the huge public buildings, we heard from a local Romanian about the pain from the rural communities who miss out on essential services and infrastructure because someone decided that fountains were more important. Essential services like suitable toilets in schools.
